Our Story

Still Riding Foods was founded in 2007 by parents seeking a better solution for their children with dietary restrictions. Like many families navigating food allergies, they found that simple childhood experiences such as attending birthday parties were often difficult or exclusionary. What began as a way to create a safe, gluten-free pizza crust at home quickly gained traction with friends and family, ultimately evolving into a business with a clear mission: to provide restaurants with a high-quality, gluten-free pizza crust that could be confidently served to gluten-free customers.

The product’s success was immediate. One of the original owners was an avid cyclist, and her likeness lives on in the Still Riding Foods logo as a tribute to the brand’s roots.

In 2015, restaurateurs Kevin and Anne Plaut acquired Still Riding Foods with the goal of expanding the brand nationwide. With more than 35 years of combined foodservice experience and deep expertise in pizza, Kevin and Anne had been using Still Riding Foods’ gluten-free crust in their own restaurant since 2010. After developing a successful gluten-free pizza menu, they recognized both the quality of the product and the growing importance of serving the gluten-free and allergy-sensitive community. Drawing on firsthand experience, they began encouraging other restaurants to do the same.

That same year, Kevin and Anne built a 100% gluten-free and allergen-free production facility. In 2023, they doubled the company’s footprint by adding a dedicated facility for fully prepared gluten-free pizzas. These new offerings have expanded Still Riding Foods into multiple markets, including K–12 school systems throughout the U.S.

Today, Still Riding Foods products are served in restaurants, colleges and universities, K–12 schools, summer camps, and both private and public institutions, amusement parks, healthcare institutions and some retail.
